Dragonwilds Agility Guide: Courses, Unlocks & Levelling

Level Agility in RuneScape: Dragonwilds with timed courses, passive running XP, Kebbit Burrow shortcuts, movement abilities, and milestone rewards.

Last updated: 2026-08-01

Agility arrived with version 0.12.1. It rewards normal travel as well as focused course runs, so you can improve it during exploration and then use timed trials when you want faster, deliberate training.

How Agility training works

  • Run on foot: moving through Ashenfall grants passive Agility XP. Riding a mount does not.
  • Run timed trails: activate one of the six flag-marked Agility stations, follow its route, and collect the orbs before returning to the finish.
  • Repeat clean laps: each completed lap awards XP. The stations also keep leaderboard times for players who want to optimise a route.
  • Explore for shortcuts: Kebbit Burrows connect nearby points. Low-level characters can use them, but may take damage until their Agility improves.

Mounts remain the quickest answer for many long journeys, but travelling on foot is the only passive-training option. A useful compromise is to ride across already-cleared ground and run when scouting, gathering, or moving between nearby objectives.

Important Agility rewards

Progression rewardWhat it changes
Sprint efficiencySprinting consumes less stamina as Agility rises
Fall protectionHigher levels reduce fall damage, although a sufficiently large fall can still be fatal
Level 50 and 75 milestonesEach milestone increases maximum carry weight
WindstepThis movement spell now belongs to Agility and gains an upgraded landing blast
Later movement abilitiesAerial dash, double jump, and a Recall marker/teleport expand traversal options

The Recall ability can also save you from a fall when used in time. Treat that as an emergency tool, not permission to ignore lethal drops.

A practical levelling loop

  1. Run short gathering and quest legs instead of mounting immediately.
  2. Discover every course flag you pass so you have several training choices.
  3. Learn a course slowly, then repeat it once you can collect its orbs without backtracking.
  4. Carry light enough that gathering during the route does not leave you overburdened.
  5. Revisit exploration routes after unlocking a movement ability; shortcuts can change which lodestone or base is most convenient.

Gold Medals provide a mastery target beyond raw XP, and gilded, region-themed cape trims reward strong course performance. If you only care about progression, prioritise consistent completed laps over perfect leaderboard times.
