Jagex raised existing skill caps to 99 in version 0.11, while later updates continue filling out the rewards between those levels. Reaching 99 can unlock a skill cape even when every level does not yet contain a unique new recipe.

Good levelling habits

  1. Upgrade tools before committing to a long gathering session.
  2. Use skill spells when several nodes are clustered together.
  3. Keep Runecrafting supplied so utility magic does not compete with combat at the worst moment.
  4. Process gathered materials instead of hoarding everything raw; several production steps train their own skills.
  5. Rotate activities when your next useful unlock sits in another skill.
